Dear colleague
As you may be aware, our commitment to bringing facilities management and catering services in house reaches a very important stage this week with staff transferring to SOAS employment on Wednesday 29 August.
Celebration event: BBQ
We are holding an event to welcome our new colleagues from across the catering and facilities teams, with a BBQ held in the courtyard behind 22 Russell Square between 4pm and 6pm tomorrow, Wednesday 29 August. We would be delighted to welcome along any staff who want to help celebrate this occasion and especially those staff who have been involved in the process of supporting and working on this process at SOAS.
New helpdesk contact details
As from Wednesday 29 August, all service requests (for Cleaning, Maintenance, Security and Porterage) should be channeled through to the new helpdesk:

- telephone: 4900 (internal calls), 0207 8984900 (external and mobile)
The helpdesk can be contacted 24/7 365 days a year for operational support, building access control and to raise any maintenance issues.
