LLM Induction Day 2012 – Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS)

Institute of Advanced Legal Studies (IALS) Library are offering LLM students an induction day on Friday 28th September 2012 which includes presentations, Library registration and Library Tours.

Members of staff of the Library of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies will be available for registration, information and advice. We are located on the corner of Russell Square and Bedford Way.  Please bring your college library card or proof of registration and the IALS blue form if you have it.  The IALS blue admission form is available from your college of registration or from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies on Library Registration Day.

Time: 9.30am. – 4.30pm.
Place: Council Chamber, Institute of Advanced Legal Studies

-11.15-12.00  Introduction to the Court System in England and Wales / The legal Profession in England by Stephen Mason

Stephen is a barrister and a member of the IT Panel of the General Council of the Bar of England and Wales. He is the general editor of ‘Electronic Evidence’ (2nd edn, LexisNexis Butterworths, 2010) and ‘International Electronic Evidence’, (British Institute of International and Comparative Law, 2008). He is the author of ‘Electronic Signatures in Law’ (Cambridge University Press, 3rd edn, 2012) and ‘E-Mail, Networks and the Internet: A Concise Guide to Compliance with the Law’ (xpl publishing, 6th edn, 2006). He is the founder and general editor of the Digital Evidence and Electronic Signature Law Review.
