Recently acquired by SOAS Library, Bronwen Everill’s Abolition and Empire in Sierra Leone and Liberia (Palgrave Macmillan, 2013) has just been featured in Reviews in History (posted by the Institute of Historical Research).

The book “takes a comparative approach to the colonisation schemes of the 19th–century British and American abolition movements” and looks at the foundation and settling of the two countries during that century and their relationship with each other.
