Hosted by the Center for Global Christianity and Mission at Boston University, the Chinese Christian Posters site brings together digitised copies of evangelistic posters used by Christian groups in China between 1927 and 1951. Content is drawn from a variety of Libraries and Archives around the world, including SOAS, the Salvation Army National Heritage Centre, Yale Divinity Library, the Billy Graham Center Archives at Wheaton College (Illinois), the Burke Library Archives at Columbia University, and Hong Kong Baptist University.

The collection can be searched by theme: Biblical stories – Christian instruction – Evangelism – Nationalist – Social issues – Traditional art

Ans also by key-word for particular content. e.g “Mother” and “child” found the “Child’s evening prayer” poster above.

There are also themed collections: Memory verse posters & Roman Catholic posters

You can also search for posters from specific Archive and Library collections
