Trial access to Index of References Dealing with Talmudic Literature
SOAS has trial access to the Saul Lieberman Institute of Talmudic Research’s bibliographical database Index of References Dealing with Talmudic Literature for four months until 17th June 2016
The Institute is part of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America
The resource ” lists bibliographical references for passages in rabbinic literature and related subjects and connects them to the location within rabbinic literature to which they are related. The latest version makes use of close to one thousand compositions. These compositions include modern talmudic research and related fields, references to parallels in rabbinic-midrashic literature itself and medieval talmudic commentary. The scholarly works included in the bibliography include classics such as Jacob Epstein’s introductions to Mishnah and Talmudic literature and Saul Lieberman’s Tosefta Kifshuta, as well as hundreds of other works, both those directly related to rabbinic literature and those more loosely related”
The url is http://lieberman-index.org and you will be able to login directly
Note that authors are able to add references on Rabbinic literature from their own work to the database.
If you are a SOAS Library user consulting this resource, we would welcome your feedback. Please contact either Mary Fisk (m.fisk@soas.ac.uk) or Beth Clark (bc3@soas.ac.uk) with your comments
