Google to celebrate India’s Independence Day- 66 years on

Today is India’s Independence Day and to celebrate this occasion, Google are hosting ‘Google Impact Challenge in India’. Google has invited Indian not for profit organisations to demonstrate how they think technology can improve people’s lives.

At the end of the competition, four non profit organisations will each receive a Global Impact award and over £300,000 to bring their projects to life. Google in India wishes to celebrate the spirit of creativity and entrepreneurship.

Googlers from India and all across the world will be able to review the applications and the 10 best will be announced on Ocotber 21st.

15th of August marks Pakistan’s creation and independence from India.
