Off-campus access to Bankscope, Oriana, Zephyr and EIU CountryData

It is now possible for SOAS students and staff to access Bankscope, Oriana, Zephyr and EIU CountryData off campus, via Shibboleth, and without the need of an extra password. To access, either click the links below, or for more information on what each database contains, access from the Data and Statistics section of the Library Website.

Bankscope: detailed financial information for more than 29,000 banks worldwide

Zephyr: M&A, IPO and venture capital deals with links to detailed financial company information.

Oriana: data for over 10 million companies across the Asia-Pacific region.

EIU CountryData: subject of a future blog posting and our newest database, EIU CountryData contains over 280 variables, covering 150 countries, and contains more than a million individual data points-covering over 280 series and running from 1980 to 2008.
