Introduction to Lexis and Westlaw – Institute of Advanced Legal Studies

Institute of Advanced Legal Studies Library are offering training sessions for Postgraduate Law Students throughout the Autumn term:

Introduction to Lexis and Westlaw: Hands-On Sessions

These sessions are being held in IALS Library throughout October, on the dates below. Each session will start at 10:30 a.m. Each session will last approximately 1.5 hours.

This session will help you to:

• log in to Lexis Library and Westlaw UK
• find databases of legislation, case law and journal articles
• search and browse effectively for legislation, cases and journal articles, and search by topic
• find online help when you need it

Venue:
The venue is the Electronic Legal Research Unit in IALS Library (17 Russell Square, London WC1B 5DR) , 4th floor, near the Library Enquiry Desk.

Dates: 

Mon 1st October, Weds 3rd,
Tues 9th, Weds 10th, Thurs 11th,
Mon 15th, Tues 16th,
Mon 22nd, Tues 23rd, Weds 24th, Thurs 25th, Fri 26th
Mon 29th, Tues 30th, Weds 31st

Each session will start promptly at 10:30 a.m. and will finish by 12:00 midday.

Bookings open on Friday 28 September. Sign up early to avoid disappointment – Places are limited to 18 per session.
