The “Queer” Asia Conference is the first ever Asia centered conference on queerness/ queer theory/ LGBT issues/ themes to be held in SOAS, University of London on 10th and 11th June 2016. The aim is to bring together a wide range of academics and activists working at the intersections of “Queer” and “Asia” to facilitate an interdisciplinary and interregional exchange of ideas, foster new rewarding and enriching networks and build a pan-Asian dialogue representative of the experiences, realities and contestations of these struggles in Asia.
This website houses information on the conference and the events scheduled around it including the call for papers and will also provide an updated schedule for the panels on the first day, the second day of screenings, events and the activism panel as these details become available.
