In October 2024 the SOAS China Institute (SCI) entered into a partnership with the Prague-based China Observers in Central and Eastern Europe (CHOICE). The partnership is a collaboration between each institute’s respective China-studies blogs, where up to 12 articles will be shared and cross-posted between each blog annually.
CHOICE is a multinational consortium of experts providing informed analysis on the rising influence of the People’s Republic of China within the countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and is run by the Association for International Affairs (AMO), a prominent foreign policy think-tank and NGO in Czechia.
The SCI’s blog was launched in the summer of 2020 as an initiative to provide a platform connecting academics, PhD students and other China-specialists and researchers from around the world to share commentaries on their research and expertise on China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The SCI blog publishes original content from contributors from within and outside of SOAS University of London.
