Hello

Drumroll please…

This is the first of  many blog posts to come from SOAS Archives, which we hope will shed some light on what we get up to in the basement of SOAS Library on a day-to-day basis.

We’ll share our news here of projects we have been working on, and will highlight some of our collections. We’ll also offer tips and practical advice on how to care for collections and how to use archives.

We also have lots of information on our webpages so do please check those out as well: http://www.soas.ac.uk/library/archives/

In the meantime, we’d best get writing – hope you enjoy reading what is to come!

  1. I have scoured the SOAS Archives web pages and cannot find any tag for prospective donors – even if they have only two Zanu/Zapla posters from the late 70s to offer.
Would you be interested – I can send scans. They are:
    1. ZANLA ‘We are our own liberators’
    2. ZANU ‘The struggle against imperialism must be fought and fought in the interests of the masses of Zimbabwe’ – a quote from Robert Mugabe.
I obtained these froma felloow student from Zimbabwe at the University of East Anglia 1977-78
    Regards

    1. Hello

Could I ask you to drop us a line, please, at special.collections@soas.ac.uk with the info you’ve given here. Someone from our acquisitions team will be in touch. Thanks!
